Introducing Nutanix HCI stretched across three availability zones in the Paris region — one logical cluster, three independent failure domains, and placement control through Strict Awareness (requires Nutanix Cloud Manager Ultimate). This Alpha is the first step toward the most resilient Nutanix footprint on OVHcloud dedicated infrastructure.
Why we’re building it
Organizations already run Nutanix on OVHcloud for production and hybrid estates. As continuity requirements tighten, customers need more than single-site redundancy — they need predictable failure isolation inside a region.
A 3-AZ distributed cluster in the Paris region addresses that need by stretching AOS and distributed storage across three availability zones (separate power and network domains), not by mixing multiple OVHcloud regions into one stretch. Milan, Berlin, and other European regions are planned as separate future rollouts, each with its own multi-AZ design when available.
Strict Awareness helps ensure VMs and replicas respect AZ boundaries so a single-zone incident does not collapse your placement assumptions. Advanced policy automation for this model is delivered through NCM Ultimate.

Who can join the Alpha?
The Alpha is aimed at a limited cohort of enterprise customers and system integrators running mission-critical or regulated workloads, for example:
- Financial platforms and payment systems
- ERP and core business applications
- Healthcare and pharma platforms with residency constraints
- Workloads requiring strict RPO/RTO with clear AZ separation
Participants work with OVHcloud product and engineering to test resilience, provide feedback, and shape Beta and GA.
Is Strict Awareness included by default?
Strict Awareness is a Nutanix capability used in this 3-AZ design. Operating it with the policy depth described here requires NCM Ultimate. Verify packaging and licensing with your Nutanix account team before production commitments.
