Joining this Alpha, you'll get access to a dedicated VMware Cloud Director Organisation for a 3 weeks period on our VCD Premium Tier (NSX + VSAN).

Known limitations.

This lab is an alpha release of the VMware Cloud Director on OVHcloud service. As a consequence, VMware on OVHcloud terms & conditions do not apply.
As it comes without any SLA, this service should be only used for testing purpose and not used to host production workloads or run performance tests.

Moreover, the features available at this stage is limited and will keep growing until the General Availability of the service. As an example, the following features are not yet available:
- OVHcloud Manager integration
- vRACK service

FAQ

Will the Alpha be charged?

No, the VMware Cloud Director on OVHcloud alpha service will be accessible at no additional cost.

When will the service be available for production workloads?

VMware Cloud Director on OVHcloud service is expected to be production-ready in September 2024
for existing customers willing to migrate their current VMware on OVHcloud environments to VCD.
New customers will be able to subscribe to the service in Q4 2024.

How does this offer compare with VMware on OVHcloud offering?

Just like other VMware offers, VMware Cloud Director on OVHcloud provides customers with a Managed VMware virtualization stack on one of our Datacenter.
The key difference resides in the fact that the underlying compute infrastructure is mutualized across multiple customers, hence fully managed by OVHcloud through vSphere.  
As a consequence, customers do not access vSphere anymore, but manage their pool of resources & virtual machine via the VCD tenant portal.
